So. Tired.
The status of me,
Just pulled a double shift, but get to sleep in tomorrow. Missed Supernatural; was it good? (Okay, an admittedly dumb question, yes. Please don't spoil me, but feel free to taunt me with squee. Actually, feel free to taunt me about anything TV related in the last week or so; chances are great I haven't seen it.) I'm going to come home from my double shift tomorrow and gorge myself on fandom, from the Winchesters to Captain Jack the Bisexual Adventurer. Oh, happy days.
Also, ow. Am sore. Got my ass kicked a lot, most notably by a seizing Retriever (not Wyatt, just in case you were worried) and a pissy Daschund. I'd forgotten how physically rough this gig was. You know it's been an interesting week when you find yourself sitting on the floor of your shower because your feet are flat-out refusing to cart your ass around any more, staring at said feet as framed by your hair, and trying to wash said hair without expending any actual effort beyond a vague grunt-and-flail combo. This is when it hits you that you probably look like the understudy of that kid from The Ring. Only scarier.
Have decided that I really need a vehicle of my own. This whole sharing thing is just... no. And hey, what's another few thousand in debt, at this point? *g* So... any suggestions? I'm aiming for something 4WD (and if you've seen my driveway, you will understand that this is not a luxury), not horrible on gas, and fairly reliable when bought un-new.
Am now off to douse myself in lavender oil and Bengay (which always makes me think of due South). Then, blessed sleep. Ah, sleep.

Date: 2006-10-27 06:00 am (UTC)For the record, you're most certainly not a whiny loser, m'dear. Many (including certain authors of this statement) have been guilty of far more petulance on far less grounds.
As far as cars go... my memory of your driveway certainly backs up your point about 4WD, and my personal experience with Hondas has been rather good (relatively inexpensive, decent gas, fairly low maintenance and long life, impacts with SUVs notwithstanding), but beyond that I don't have much to offer, as I do not presently drive either (and don't particularly look to, at the moment). :x
And once you're rested and fangirled up sufficiently, I expect to hear of these new developments, madam. *wags a stern finger* Until then, if you haven't discovered it already, you have a voicemail involving hot dogs and Sean Connery that hopefully'll lend a smile. :)
