I really, really need to watch it again, this time without the distractions of a mother who is apparently phobic about this particular badie (who knew?) and a father who's not really that into the show.

That said,
oh lordy. Ouch. Just... all the way through, ouch.

I like the new crew thus far. Ash in particular, not the least because I have an established thing for characters who are far, far more than they seem. I think it's related to the fairytale plots wherein the lowly servant turns out to be a princess, etc., except I'm apparently just as amused when you substitute 'possibly drunken slacker' for 'servant' and 'mathematical/technical genius' for 'princess'. (And yes, I did just flash to John Sheppard. Shut up.)

Granted, I need to go back and check, but there was a moment there that made me go hmm. I have this weird sensation - and this is a left field guess, folks, since I'm unspoiled and trying to stay that way - that it would be a really bad idea for Dean to hit on Jo. As in, their children would be inbred. Just wild speculation, based solely on that last scene in the bar, and the way Ellen got all funny when Dean tried to work himself up to a decent come-on. Then again, I may just be nuts.

Dean crumbling at the end, though. Oh. I love the parallel with the Bloody Mary smash.

And that's all I can really say until I get to scrutinize in detail. Thoughts?

I'm sure Sheppard appreciates it. Boy needs a good hug now and then, as recently proven by Ronon.

Ah, the well documented effects of pizza abuse. It's a gateway food, too; you start out with just a little pizza, and then it's maybe a soda or two, and before you know it you're up to your eyeballs in Snickers bars and ice cream. It's a sad, slippery slope. (And this entire rabbit trail has nothing at all to do with the fact that there is no junk food in my house, and how very wrong that is. Why, I ask you? Why?) *g*

Evil havers of suspense. Hee. The thing that gets me about this show is that - with a few exceptions, which granted were a little on the ick side - there's very little actually shown. It manages to be creepy as all hell just via buildup and inference. There wasn't a single bit of gore in last night's ep, and yet it was big on the freaky. Yay for implicit violence!... Er. Yeah.

We must all emulate Ronon. *nod* The way of Ronon is good.

*g* I just went a bought Freddo Frogs for my students. *eyes them* I am currently trying to convince myself that I cannot eat forty of them, shouldn't eat forty of them and the aren't even for me. This is what happens when I buy junk, which is why I never buy junk! I console myself with the fact that the pizza was proper Italian.

Shuddup :P

You that is precisely why I cannot watch it. Gore squicks me but I can deal. Buildup and inference though will have me out of there like greased lightning. (you can grease lightning? always struck me as such an odd phrase) I mean, I read the end of books first because I can't cope. I bring books to the cinema because I can't just walk out in the bad bits. Even SGA has too much suspense and they have almost none! I have walked out on children's shows. I have deep issues and so SPN is like my idea of hell. God I even have trouble with fanfic. *shame* Don't even mention the X-files.

Um. I am taking my chocolate and issues to go sit in the corner. *nod*
