I'm in so much trouble.
Jan. 20th, 2006 10:08 pmCrap. I feel another fandom coming on. Damnit.
Anyone else out there watching In Justice? I really had no intention of getting attached. I really didn't. It was just supposed to be a casual fling while I was home for vacation. But... Well, you see, there's Conti, and he's tough and remarkably kind and rather sweet in his own solemn way.
And then there's Swain, who is something of an arrogant, self-absorbed bastard. Except when he's not.
And they're both brilliant. They have a tendancy to pull off last minute saves and semi-miracles. The rest of the ensemble cast is also quite good, and surprisingly likeable. They all have a mission and a belief in the basic good of what they do, even when they can't explain where their lines are drawn.
The best part is, Swain and Conti have glorious chemistry together. They just exude history, and it's a gentle kind of history. The show hasn't been running that long, and it's thus far been remarkably good at avoiding exposition. You just get hints here and there about what all of these people mean to each other, and how they're tied together. Conti and Swain seem to have a genuine affection between them. Despite my best efforts, I'm kind of in serious like with these two.
With my luck, the show will get cancelled before the season is out.
