I think he's probably one of those infamous trouble magnets.
You know, I think you're absolutely right about that. I get the feeling that he's a guy who's spent most of his life jumping from one disasterous situation to the next, and not always through his own doing. I think his luck is a combo of really, really bad, and a little bit awesomely good. This may be the only reason he's survived this long. On the one hand, he slept with someone powerful's wife by accident, stumbled into a guerilla war, and got Beck on his case. On the other... he didn't get shot (much), the guerillas turned out to be friendly, and he got Beck on his case. *shrug* I'm not sure whether the universe hates him or loves him.
We need more Rundown fics.
We really do. They are snarky and very-nearly-canonically in love. Why is there not more fic? *sigh*
