Oh Great and Powerful Television Gods? You're officially starting to freak me out with your omniscience. Say, for the last week or so, where you've been systematically playing out the hurt/comfort scenarios of my choice. Seriously. Freaky.

Evidence:

On Studio 60 (and yes, I've been watching it; I've never seen the Sorkin before, which also seems to explain why I'm enjoying it), Matt was in potentially career-ending trouble, and Danny did not take kindly to it. At all.

On NCIS, Tony got thumped up alongside the head, and Gibbs freaked out. In a very Gibbs way. That checking of the eyes thing made me all warm and fuzzy. I'm all about the little things. (Easily amused, that's me.)

On CSI, Greg got whacked around, and Nick got pissed. Like, clenchy-jawed, roughing-up-assholes kind of pissed. (Which I will use to back up my claim that the whole 'Nick is so out of control, look at him intimidate that murder suspect' argument from the Gum Drops era was stupid. It isn't at all out of character for Nick to go Old Testament, provided there is sufficient motivation. Pain inflicted on small children and Greg are sufficient motivation. I am all kinds of tickled that this is canon.)

On Supernatural, Sam and Dean both got pissed. Well, sort of. More Sam got conflicted, Dean got pissed, and Sam got (more) worried. Last season, I asked for them to someday meet nice monsters, so that I could see Dean's mind go to the Blue Screen of Death. And then they did. Glee. [Incidentally, when I said last week that it would be neat for them to have a big old cathartic sparring session? I was being silly. This was so much cooler. (This is not to say that I still won't write the less cool idea; there's a way that I think it would fit, but not yet. As usual, I reserve the right to be a moron. Also, I may yet be back to give the episode it's own post, because eeeeee. Back in Black. Heh.)]

Most recently, on Numb3rs, Colby walked into a chop-shop full of armed badies, and David flipped out competently. And then Colby wound up held at gunpoint by one of said badies, and David flipped out a little more. And then Colby got stupid - with reason, of course, but still - and David went to the same pleading, worried place he did at the end of last season with the shooting inquiry. Scattered somewhere in the middle, they did that back-to-back desks thing that's unreasonably cute, too. This? This is why they make this show rock, for me.

Other reasons this TV week has ruled:

Supernatural's Bobby has been everywhere. The only place he wasn't, in fact, was on Supernatural. Go figure.

Paul Ben Victor has also been everywhere. Okay, so strictly speaking that's been over the last two weeks, but still. I've seen him at least three times thus far. Go, BobbyHobbes.

Anybody got other happy-making observations?

...I missed Greggie getting smacked around? Damn this cold. And today's Numb3rs is going to be the ep I refer to as "Trouble In Paradise" for the next little while. So much angst! So much pretty! Angst! Pretty! Life is good, even without Nicky going all death-to-Greg-hurters in my recent memory.

Note: I skipped the CSI and Numb3rs paragraphs, as I have yet to finish downloading the latter and I'm actually about to watch the former. This is why I need a TV.

But, in re: the Supernatural paragraph:
1. I KNEW the Back in Black thing was gonna getcha. *g*
2. The way it played out between Sam & Dean... that was nice. And true to both of them. Still, the punch was kind of a holyshitdidhejustdothat?!1eleven! kinda moment.
3. The nice monsters thing... it was kind of inevitable, precisely BECAUSE of that conflict, but it came out nicely - esp. the confusion at the beginning. It wouldn't have worked as well if that girl HAD been evil - she was too afraid. And I stand by that lead vampire chick being kinda hot.
4. Gordon's a pretty awesome character. You KNOW they're gonna see him again, just cos he's such a good foil for Sam, as far as Dean goes. Plus, a guy like him isn't gonna let something like getting tied up and smacked around go. I just hope he brings his badass hat with him.

As far as other stuff:
1. Have you watched any Six Feet Under yet?
2. I *WILL* catch you on the phone or iChat one of these days, lassie. Just you wait. *eyes narrow, despite the grin*
