Awesome, awesome use of perspective, interesting and experimental.
Better than that, interesting and plotty - it would make an awesome episode, if you could get it to work in that medium, as it is, it works really well here. :)
At the beginning, I was just really intrigued by the idea of telling one of their stories from the perspective of a third party. That alone was great, what you eventually did with it? Up a level, amazing. And then revealing things that the unreliable narrator had missed (Sam's injuries etc), just really excellent fic.
