What I am up to this week:
One possible spoiler for the Canadian SGA bounty, but it is both sideways and small. Really. If you get it, you've probably seen it.
1. Watching my phone not ring.
The School (capitalized to indicate that it is, in fact, my very first choice of them all) has been calling all accepteds for the last week. It's gotten to the point where I'm not calling anyone, and I'm giving glares of great doom to anyone in the family who stays on longer than it takes to make whoever they're speaking with call them back on a cell.
Nevertheless, tomorrow is the very last day of possibility - supposedly - and there's been not a peep.
This sucks.
2. Watching all the shiny things I've been collecting.
To wit:
2a. Torchwood. Seriously, just... you have turned out to be totally worth the aggravation. (Yes, Gwen, I'm looking at you. You too, Owen.) Despite the fact that I wasn't sure whether I'd be sticking with you (even with Jack and Ianto and Tosh), that last batch of episodes made me sure of my love. When you guys get it right, you really, really do.
2b. SGA. Oh, how I missed you. I'd forgotten how much, and then you come in with such sparkling glee that I wonder what the hell I was thinking to wait this long. I'm still only up to the one with the giant, male Sam, and already I want to hug you like a long-lost teddy bear. I think I will need to do commentaries, just for my own personal squee factor (since everything interesting has already undoubtedly been stored up in all those posts I haven't been reading).
2c. Kiss Kiss Bang Bang. Dude, how did you get away with being a huge threesome love affair? Val Kilmer, how are you so awesome? Robert Downey Jr., where did you develop that puppy-mushed-by-a-zamboni aura that makes it impossible to hold the fact that you are a schmuck against you?
3. Eying up the things I still need to watch.
As in:
3a. More SGA. Enough said.
3b. Neverwhere.
3c. The rest of Six Feet Under. Heh. I made a funny.
4. Writing!!!
Yes, you read that right. There have been words. Committed to... well, not paper, but existence, yeah? Ignore the fact that they are for a movie that I am only reasonably sure one of you has seen. Also, that much of my time has been spent pondering the eternal question, "Is that too emo for The Rock?"
The point is... words! More than a thousand of them, in one place, and growing! I feel marginally productive in at least one arena of my life! Whee!
(Incidentally, anybody else out there who has seen The Rundown - and is not
strifechaos, which would just be silly - who might at some point in the not too distant future be willing to answer that aforementioned question for me? Perhaps in the form of a beta?)
Next up, more fun with John and Rodney. I think. I'm going back to those prompts if it kills me.
5. Not Watching Supernatural. *sigh*
Watching a play put on by high school drama students instead, which I have decided is the equivalent of witnessing a very slow, very young train wreck. As a brilliant mind once put it, love makes you do the wacky. And so, oh Sister's Boy, let it be known that we adore you.
Off to stare obsessively at the usual suspects in hopes of speedy episode appearance. Please, please do not spoil me, but... was it good? Like, on a scale of Route 666 to As I Lay Dying?
