Nicely done. I really like the quietness of this piece, and I especially like how you handled the “I might be evil” conversation. Just the right amount of dialogue and conviction there.

Favorite lines:

When you’ve brought your brother back from the dead, freed your father from hell, killed your worst enemy, and either postponed or kicked off the apocalypse, you need to do something special.

*g* Great opening line.

Sam’s face twists into a glare. “You’re still bleeding.”

The asshole is implied.

*snickers*

He may be patchwork, but tonight he’s whole.

I adore this line. Just awesome. So much said in so few words.

to write down everything he remembers from before Sam likely remembers. Someday, Sam might want to know what his favorite cereal was when he was three. Someday, Dean might not be around to tell him.

Oh, Dean.

Not mint green, not grass green; green like it's been washed and hung, or rolled in the dustsand under their feet.

Good description.

His nightmares don’t include Sam being different, or being wrong. They don’t include Sam at all.

Oh, Dean.

He should care.

And he will. Just not tonight.

Great ending. The boys need and deserve this break in the action.
