Oh, man, that was perfect! I read it, and immediately had to go back to the beginning and read again, to properly appreciate all the bits of foreshadowing you put in, all the little details that come together to make the full picture. And it all comes through so strongly -- Sam's quiet struggle, and Dean's desperation, and the love between the brothers, and poor, decent James watching it all and slowly coming to understand.
